Ruby Harris Obituary

Evelyn Milbrath Harris (née Cotton), aged 83, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Kerrville, Texas. Born on May 16, 1941, in Plant City, Florida, she was the cherished daughter of John Willis Cotton and Myrtle E. Cotton. Evelyn spent her formative years in Plant City, where she attended Turkey Creek High School.

Her love for the game of golf was well-known, and she was an avid golfer throughout her life, finding joy and camaraderie on the greens.

On July 1, 1960, Evelyn married Harry Milbrath Sr., with whom she shared a loving partnership until his passing on December 11, 2006. She later found love again and married Tom Harris on July 6, 2013, who predeceased her on September 10, 2014.

Evelyn is survived by her devoted children, Linda Milbrath Morales and her husband JR, and Harry Milbrath Jr. and his wife Laura. She was a proud grandmother to John, Lindsay, Todd, Lauren, Cory, and Amy, and a beloved great-grandmother to Colby, Jaidyn, Darriyn, Jaxson, Amari, Abigale, Chance, Taryn, and Christiano.

In recent years, Evelyn resided in Live Oak, Texas, where she enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Her warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A private family celebration of her life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude, Wounded Warriors, or the American Cancer Society in her memory.
