Russell Baker Obituary

Russell Baker went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2024, at Waterside Care Center, Kerrville.

Russell was born on February 18, 1960, in Hereford, Texas. He attended Big Lake High School, where he played on the football team. He worked for JK Bernhard Construction. He loved his work and his boss Kevin. At the time of his death, he was a member of Open Arms Ministry, Ingram.

He was an avid sports fan, especially football, and cheered on the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed time hanging out at the river with friends and family and throwing horseshoes. His greatest love was time spent with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and LaMoyne Baker, Nettie Eldridge and Sid Graves.

Russell is survived by his wife of 21 years, Patricia Burgess of Kerrville; mother, Carol Savage of San Angelo; father, Leon Baker and wife, Crickett of Bandera; children, Misty Frerichs of Baytown, Angie Skinner of Boerne, Natalie Cato of Texas, Dallas Baker of Amarillo, Treaver Baker of Amarillo, Dennis Burgess of Kerrville, Ashleigh Legg of Ingram and Brandon Burgess of Ingram; siblings, Ronda Graves of Barnhart, Teena Bishop of Barnhart, Chris Williams of St. Johns, FL and Michael Curry of Humble; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life will be held at 3pm, March 03, 2024, at the Open Arms Ministry, 165 Ingram Hills Road, Ingram.
