Sherry Sue (Green) McElrath

Sherry Sue McElrath, 82, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Center Point, Texas. 

Born on May 13, 1942, in Del Rio, Texas, to Henry and Ethel Green. Sherry graduated from Del Rio (San Felipe) High School.  From an early age, she developed a deep appreciation for music, mastering the piano with such skill that it earned her a college scholarship.

Sherry built a career as an office manager in doctors' offices, where her organizational skills and warm presence made a lasting impact. She spent much of her adult life in San Antonio and Boerne before retiring to Center Point in 2006. 

She found immense joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was staying home with her family or fishing trips with her husband, Otis Dwight Blevins. Her kind spirit and gentle nature left an indelible mark on those who knew her. 

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Ann Green.

 She is survived by her devoted husband, Otis; son, Scott McElrath and his wife Stacie of San Antonio; stepdaughter, Buffey Guilbeau of San Antonio; and grandchildren, Dalton, Lindsey, Brianna, Kaley, Chance, and Tommy; and sibling, HT Green. 

Sherry’s presence brought warmth and comfort to those fortunate enough to know her. May her memory live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
