Steven Lee Van Patten “Gramps”, 70, of Kerrville TX passed away holding his daughter’s hand on August 17, 2023. Steve was born on March 10, 1953, to James T. Van Patten and Edith “Mike” Swett in Las Vegas NV. He was baptized at the age of 8 in the LDS faith and lived the majority of his life as an active member growing in faith and helping others. Steve enjoyed passing down his musical talents to both of his daughters and loved being able to share sailing, Harleys, and classic cars with his big brother/ “lifetime best friend” Jim Van Patten.
Steve is preceded in death by his Mom and Dad; Granddaughter Jodi Beth Wood; brother, Walter Joe Van Patten and niece Victoria Van Patten.
He is survived by his brother James “Jim” Van Patten (Jeanne Quattlebaum); his two daughters Carolena Wood and Crystalee Chambers; Granddaughter Bobbi Lee Thomas (Tyler); Cousin Ruthi Stucki; his 5 nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Matt.
