Theodore Grant "Woody" Woodward, 87, passed away on November 7, 2018. He was born in San Antonio, Texas and married his beloved Kay Larsen in 1952. He graduated from Harlandale High School in San Antonio and later attended Texas Western College in El Paso. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Harry E. Hubbard destroyer in the Korean War. He was an illustrator for Western Electric in El Paso and design engineer for AT&T in Shreveport, LA. He was a charter member of the Hill Country Archaeology Association, a member of Texas Archaeological Society, the Corporal Jacob C. Leight Memorial AM Vets Post 1000, and the Unitarian-Universal Fellowship. He volunteered as a Steward for the Texas Historical Commission and was awarded by THC with the Norman G. Flagg and Jim Word awards for his service. He was an artist, a woodcarving instructor and a round dance teacher. He coached his daughter's softball team and his sons's baseball teams, as well as serving as his son's Boy Scout troop leader. He and Kay enjoyed square and round dancing and family camping. He was predeceased by both of his parents; his sister, and his sons Larry and Curtis. Theodore is survived by his wife Kay; his daughters, Teresa and Donna; as well as 6 grandchildren, Amber, Adam, Jessica, Thomas, John and Marcella; and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial celebration will be held in the future.
