Tiree Junior Smothers, 61, entered the arms of the Lord on November 12, 2024, at his home in Kerrville, TX. He was born on November 8, 1963, in Stockton California to Ruthie Mae (Miller) and Tiree Smothers Sr. Tiree graduated from Amos Alonzo Stagg Sr. High School in Stockton, CA.
Tiree grew up in Stockton and after graduating he moved around a little before settling in Texas in 2014. Throughout his life Tiree worked different jobs but one he was most proud of was working for his family’s business, Smothers Janitorial & Steam Cleaning. In his later years he worked at a thrift store in Kerrville.
In his free time Tiree loved to go fishing and caring for his garden. Although he lived in an apartment, he had plants he was proud of and found a way to do what he enjoyed. He was also known for fixing things, whether it was a weed whacker or lawn mower he could tinker with any small machinery. There was nothing more that Tiree loved, however, than when his family came to visit him. Spending time with his children and his sister is something he always looked forward too.
He will be remembered as a man of the Lord. Tiree was a member of the Living Way Community Church and was the drummer for the church band. The church community will miss and remember him always.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; grandmothers, Mary Miller, Limmie Smothers; grandfather, James Smothers; along with 4 uncles and 4 aunts.
Left to cherish his memory is his children, Sharina Smothers-Mamea (Viliamu) of Killeen, TX, Tyree Glen Smothers III; sister, Ruthann Harris (Ronnie); grandchildren, Nevaeh Ruthann Smothers, Tyree Glen Smothers IV, HezeKiah Pulou Sailiata Mamea; stepmother, Patricia Ann Smothers; step-siblings, Myron E Myers, Ekecuis Myers, Melissa Merchant, Mia Evans; nieces, Tiffany Nicole Harris, Kimberly Shanea Harris.
