Tollie Harris Courtney, 67, passed away at his home in Ingram, Texas, on June 22, 2026. He was born on November 30, 1958, in Saucier, Mississippi, to Dorothy Marie (Bond) and William Leonard Courtney.

For more than 25 years, Tollie owned and operated Ingram Metal Recycling, where he became well known throughout the community for his hard work and willingness to lend a helping hand.

Tollie was a generous man who always looked after his family and friends and never hesitated to help someone in need, even if they were a stranger. He was known for being hardheaded, a little stubborn, and just enough of a rascal to keep life interesting. He had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and had a passion for collecting just about anything that caught his interest. One of his favorite collections was movies, and over the years he amassed thousands of DVDs. Tollie also enjoyed cars, trucks, motorcycles, and spending time on the water as a boat captain. He appreciated unique finds and was always on the lookout for something interesting to add to his collection.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Marie Bond Brewer; his father, William L. Courtney; his brother, Terry Wools; and his daughter, Jessica Courtney.

Tollie is survived by his children, Tollie "Bo" Harris Courtney Jr., Tasha Elizabeth Courtney, and William "Billy" Woodrow Courtney; his brother, Thomas Wools; his sister, Dana Lockhart; his bonus son, Robert "Bobby" Sanders; and several grandchildren.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date, and interment will take place at Junction City Cemetery.
