Virginia Marie Meggenberg

Virginia Marie Meggenberg entered her heavenly home peacefully on April 23, 2024, at the age of 86. Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Lester "Pinky" Meggenberg, her parents, and a younger brother and sister.

At the young age of 23, working as a secretary, she met and married Pinky, the love of her life. Together they raised three girls, Donna Gayle, Shelly Kay and Stacie Lea. Virginia was completely devoted to her family her entire life. Besides her love for the Lord, not much else was more important than being with and/or caring for her family.

Virginia never met a stranger and always loved chatting with anyone at any time. She was always ready to share her life experiences and Jesus with those she met. She was affectionately known for her resilience, quick wit, funny disposition, and her bold and tenacious spirit. Even in the end, in the midst of great pain, Virginia found a way to laugh.

In addition to her three daughters, she is survived by a family that includes one older sister, three wonderful sons-in-law, eight stupendous grandchildren, ten adorable great-grandchildren, and one awesome great- great grandchild (she would have described them all that way).

In her final days, Virginia was comforted by the caring and compassionate care provided by both the thoughtful Meals-On-Wheels group and the wonderful and talented Peterson Hospice team, for which the family is deeply grateful. Truly gifts from God. 

We celebrate Virginia’s long-awaited reunion with Pinky, with her new pain-free body, as she enters into the loving arms of her savior, our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! A time of celebration of her life will be held at a later date
