Wesley Beauchamp Jr Obituary

Wesley Ray Beauchamp Jr,  of Edwards County, Texas, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 07, 2023. He was born in Sinton, Texas on March 29, 1955.

He graduated from North Texas State University in Denton with a degree in history, and retired from Exxon Mobile after many years of managing offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. The last 5 years of his career was in Papua, New Guinea, where it was said of him that he was a great leader, mentor and friend to many of the Papua New Guinea nationals and left a legacy that will last many years to come.

Wes was a practicing Christian, active in the local churches, where he formerly resided in Woodville, Austin and Bandera. His love of history continued despite his career in a modern high tech field, and he spent his retirement living on 80 acres in Edward County, that was originally crossed by Native Americans, Texas Rangers and large historical cattle ranches. He could intelligently converse on many varied topics, from Bible interpretation to American History to Classic Literature to treasure hunting. He was well loved and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wes Ray Beauchamp Sr and survived by his beloved mother, Marjorie Beauchamp; as well as his devoted wife, Vicky Beauchamp; children, Rachel Dickens (Nick), Jonathan Beauchamp (Valentina), Joel Beauchamp, Mishael Parks, Caleb Beauchamp (Leigh Wyatt), Katie Beauchamp; and two grandsons, Izaac Martinez and Luke Parks; sister Lisa Gunkel (husband Bill); brother David Beauchamp (wife Laurie) and several nieces and nephews.

They will all carry on his memory and honor his life forever.
