SCAM ALERT

Families of Wright’s Funeral Parlor,

We have been alerted to a scam affecting grieving families. The scam appears to be this, the scammers go to funeral home websites and read through the recent obituaries to collect information about family members. When they find an obituary, they feel would be vulnerable, they then google personal information seeking out phones of the next of kin. The scammers have a list of names of funeral home staffing based on information they collected off the website. The scammers are posing as funeral home staffing, they call the family demanding money for services and ask for credit card information to finalize the services.

This is a dangerous situation, and we ask for all our families to please call the funeral home directly, do not give credit card information over the phone and ask questions.
